The short version
We collect no data. Mestre de Bateria has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It makes no network requests, and none of your information ever leaves your device. We, the developer, never receive, see or store anything about you.
What the app stores on your device
- Game progress: rank, XP, scores, jury notes, trophies, costumes, rehearsals learned, daily streak, favourite sambas and the mestre name you type. This is kept in a file inside the app's private storage.
- Settings: music, sound effects, haptics, theme, appearance, hint, assisted-conducting and reminder preferences.
- Widget summary: tonight's samba, your streak, best score and rank title. It is shared only with the app's own Home Screen widget through a private app group on your device.
Deleting the app removes all of this. You can also erase your progress at any time in Settings → Progress → Reset progress.
Camera and photos
If you choose to add a portrait to your Mestre card, the app asks for camera access (to take a photo) or lets you pick a single photo from your library. The picture is turned into a comic-ink image on your device, saved only in the app's private storage and shown on your Mestre card and results poster. It is never uploaded or shared unless you share the poster yourself through the iOS share sheet. You can remove the portrait at any time from the Mestre card screen.
Notifications
If you turn on the nightly rehearsal reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. It uses no server, no push token and no identifier. You can switch it off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party SDKs, analytics or advertising frameworks, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. If you share a results poster, the service you choose to share with handles it under its own privacy policy.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Questions? Visit the support page.
